Donald Blaisdell was a California artist who lived and worked in Los Angeles. He studied at Pratt Institute, Syracuse University and California State University, Long Beach where he completed his Master’s Degree in Painting, Drawing and Printmaking.

He taught at UCLA, Santa Monica College and Pierce College as well as his own privately owned studio Blaisdell Atelier.

Working primarily in the medium of oil on canvas and watercolors en plein air, his art explores environmental abstraction and continues to define color theory.
